 CorydonCultivant son jardinPremium join:2008-02-18 Denver, CO | If I remember my phys chem (it's been a while) RF emissions cause changes in rotational states of molecules, while microwave ovens are set up to cause changes in the bending and stretching frequencies of the bonds in water and most fats (which is how they heat food). Not the same thing at all—there's a lot more energy in a microwave.
RF emissions don't have anywhere near enough energy to actually alter chemical bonds (and thus cause cancer). |
