Hot Head

"Ever notice that your skin gets warm after a long call? That’s the only side effect of RF energy - warming. That is how microwave ovens work, at a much higher power level of 500-700 watts."

Ummm... actually, that's the battery warming up. I don't recall my head warming up due to RF energy.

If I remember my phys chem (it's been a while) RF emissions cause changes in rotational states of molecules, while microwave ovens are set up to cause changes in the bending and stretching frequencies of the bonds in water and most fats (which is how they heat food). Not the same thing at all—there's a lot more energy in a microwave.

RF emissions don't have anywhere near enough energy to actually alter chemical bonds (and thus cause cancer).

Apparently it does. Seems at least one town in California believes it so it must be true.[/sarcasm]

Now I know why all those cows in California are so happy. They are eating the pot fields.
