 | THX test i heard about that but none of my movies have the test on there i have looked. Is there a list somewhere that tells you what movies have the test?
I will probally buy the avia or video essentials one. |

| reply to Spirit Horse I've got both the Avia, and both of the Video Essentials discs. The Video Essentials not only will allow you to do a pretty good job adjusting the TV, it also has a very good section on the how-and-why it's done a certain way. And I've got a SpyderPRO to do a full calibration, which ususally requires you to go into the service menus....something NOT for the faint-of-heart, as you can really screw up the TV if you're not careful! -- One man's Magic is another man's Engineering. |

 | reply to Spirit Horse Where can i get SpyderPRO at? Who makes it? And where can i buy it? |

1 edit | Are you sure you can justify the cost? This is the one that replaced my unit, but the price was about the same: »spyder.datacolor.com/product-ht-cfp.php
I think for your purposes, this one would be better: »spyder.datacolor.com/product-ht-stv.php
I use mine to not only calibrate monitors for home theater use, but also to calibrate monitors for photographers. -- One man's Magic is another man's Engineering. |

I love my Spyder, well worth the money. You wouldn't believe how far off retail monitor settings are. -- Intel Quad Core QX6700 @3500Mhz/Asus P5N32-E SLI/4x 1024Mb Corsair/Seagate 750.10/PNY 7800GTs SLI/Silverstone 850W/Custom water cooler |

| reply to drjim Does it come with everything to do both? I'm familiar with it for monitor calibration but not TV. --
