| Trying to find a tv Calibration dvd for best picture? I am trying to find a dvd to get the best picture on my tv.
Some people are telling me to get avia dvd. Or avia 2 dvd. »www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/···te-books
My question is is it any good? I want the best one if it works.
I have a good picture but i want a better one.

I find the THX test sufficient enough. Programs on most certified THX discs.

I will probally buy the avia or video essentials one.

| I've got both the Avia, and both of the Video Essentials discs. The Video Essentials not only will allow you to do a pretty good job adjusting the TV, it also has a very good section on the how-and-why it's done a certain way. And I've got a SpyderPRO to do a full calibration, which ususally requires you to go into the service menus....something NOT for the faint-of-heart, as you can really screw up the TV if you're not careful! -- One man's Magic is another man's Engineering. | |

I think for your purposes, this one would be better: »spyder.datacolor.com/product-ht-stv.php
I use mine to not only calibrate monitors for home theater use, but also to calibrate monitors for photographers. -- One man's Magic is another man's Engineering.

Does it come with everything to do both? I'm familiar with it for monitor calibration but not TV. --

I love my Spyder, well worth the money. You wouldn't believe how far off retail monitor settings are. -- Intel Quad Core QX6700 @3500Mhz/Asus P5N32-E SLI/4x 1024Mb Corsair/Seagate 750.10/PNY 7800GTs SLI/Silverstone 850W/Custom water cooler
