I use this method to access giganews via 4 connections from home to get very high speeds. I setup my multiwan NAT box to force a specific connection for certain ports and ssh to listen on multiple ports and then I just setup 4 SSH tunnels on the different ports and setup my usenet client to use 4 different servers. It makes it really easy to max all my connections at once.
--
Chugging along on 3x 6016/768k DSL Extreme DSL lines and one 3008/512 ATT DSL DIrect line for a combined total of just over 18 meg download and 2350 up. yay!

They have not provided me with a specific time frame but it is something that we are actively addressing. The newsgroup is one of the main services that DSLExtreme provided very well that other ISP couldn't touch. Now with the upgrade and the limitation of connections because of the IP address, I might have to look elsewhere but I'm not jumping to any conclusion as I think DSLExtreme is working out a solution.

But I think all they have to do is when you log on the server is to have it check the account that is logging in instead of your IP address. This wasn't an issue before the upgrade so why is it an issue now, I don't know.

kmcmurtrie : This is no upgrade. I was shocked to find that many newsgroups are now 70% spam. Fetching headers for filtering no longer works so my Google Groups spam filter is broken. It's also painfully obvious how much better Supernews was at filtering random porn spam. What a mess!
