Not sure how long this has been on the Avast site (I don't see a date), but thought it worth bringing attention to:
Fraudulent sales of avast! products
In a preventive measure designed to protect customers, ALWIL Sotware would like to draw attention to the fraudulent selling of their products via several web sites, many advertising via the Google Ad Words program.
The web sites are mostly offering keys to our free Home Edition product, but not in all cases, though charging users as though it were for our paid-for Professional Edition, or, when email "invoices" are received by customers, there is no mention of avast! Instead a list of programs is usually offered that the customer has never heard of, let alone agreed to buy.
One clear way to spot a fraudulent site....

Just another reminder to ALWAYS download software from a reputable site, preferably the developers site especially for security software.

I've been looking ay buying keys on ebay for this software.What I found rather strange was I sent this ebayer 3 questions and never got any replies!If they don't take the time to reply I don't take the time to buy!!! |

Oregon, USA | Why would you buy keys on ebay anyway? The home version is free to use, otherwise you can pay them, not some person who just has some random numbers, possibly just a home key he got off the website. |

This is keys for the Pro version.I don't think you can get this one for free.A 60 day trial is nice though. |
