| reply to Bicephale Interesting. Hopefully this will finally shut up the "ADSL2+ provides no speed advantages beyond X metres" crowd, because the average is clearly higher at all attenuations.
Of course, there aren't enough Annex M samples to generate a reliable average curve; it should be identical to regular ADSL2+, and looking at the actual data points, it seems to be. The average curve is above all the data points after 37dB, which is wrong. Need more data. |

| Too bad, DesiGuy1981 and dslgr would appreciate your expertise about "target SNRM" in this thread:

Euh...
Well, the "thread" seems to be slightly broken but you'll manage to get an uninterrupted trail, i guess.
The trick is to click on the page numbers to navigate through the original sequence...

I'm afraid the PermaLinks are defective, you'll have to move backwards... Try this:

| reply to Bicephale said by Bicephale :Too bad, DesiGuy1981 and dslgr would appreciate your expertise about "target SNRM" in this thread: Everything I know, I learned from these forums from folks like yourself.
I found an ST516 firmware version 6.1.0.5.0 build ZZQOAA6.105 that still supports the modemoptions settings. If I can keep the SNRM over 15dB, I can tolerate the +- 6dB I see with changes in the weather without disconnects. I prefer stable to fast; I'll take any speed I can get. |
