Re: ugh

At no point (unless they change it today) has the website, FAQ or fine print ever noted that the winnings would be donated to charity....

I just went to the front page of the auction site and it says it is for Habitat for Humanity right in the middle of the page.

That was just added like an hour ago after three weeks of people bidding tens of thousands of dollars.

Ok, if thats the case then I am surprised. I thought people weren't that dumb, but obviously they are to bid that high on unlimited broadband.

Actually, when this article was posted, I checked out the site and I easily found the habitat for humanity link so I was wondering what was going on.

The PR nightmare this will become is worse than their stock price. Pull up a chair, pop some corn, chill your favorite beverage and enjoy the show.

Gotcha, yeah I've been watching it for weeks, and as of this morning when I wrote it the link wasn't there...it was added with a link to today's press release sometime after my article went up.

I think they might have noticed the hits coming from our site making light of the auction...and realized that they need to shore up on the PR front.

It was known internally from day 1. We just got a good chuckle watching you Karl, jump to conclusions, as usual.

That would be a lot more believable if it were true.

Just the response I expected from you Doc. We all know you're a bell employee. Believe what you want, and say what you want. Your word is not the end all and be all of the broadband world.

Man, either you are so ill-informed that you can't help posting absolute rubbish, or you are one of the resident cable employees who are paid to come here and post absolute rubbish.

Either way it's absolute rubbish.

I am not, nor have I ever been an employee of any 'bell'. Not even a Taco Bell.

Although I do occasionally frequent one.

Nice try, Mr. Anon Troll.
