If you actually think the backbone is run off copper, I suggest you at least jump into the 1980's. Fiber is installed all the time..and it is way cheaper to string a fibre strand across un-populated land than a city centre.
And there's nothing stopping Techsavvy from going to another supplier. We switched from Telus to Bell to Shaw for our needs.. and there's other suppliers out there.. Noone is telling them to stick with Bell.. Tech is just another customer for bell..
