I think you've been hiding under a rock these past few years lol. Haven't you heard of the DRM rootkit installed by some of the CD's produced by Sony? If not, I would suggest reading the following:

DRM CD's are more common than you think. Next time you buy a CD, read the fine print

Sorry you are wrong. Sony stop using rootkits. CDs are DRM free sorry. YOU are the one living under a rook. Bringing something up from 2-3 years ago.
