I borrowed the router from Jeremy and just now tried this. Worked perfectly at my house using DHCP to pull the IP. Thanks for the information.

You are correct about the basic support for the popular 4 "Linksys, Belkin, Dlink and Netgear" where our techs will provide basic support for the configuration on any of these devices to work with our equipment. "Any advance configuration will still remain to be referred to the proper manufacturer of each device".
We can only provide the basic settings information such as: VPI = 8 VCI = 35 and the type of connection, DHCP or Static.

Personally I would like to learn more about the advance Cisco routers for my own personal knowledge :)

You probably already have the answer to this and I know how unhelpful Embarq can be as I just dealt with them. To use the adsl card instead of the modem supplied by Embarq, you have to set up integrated routing and bridging:

It took me forever to beat out of the technician that they were using 1483 in bridging mode. Most of them just stated they were using ENET encapsulation (i went so far as to ask one of them what that meant in the real world) which is obviously their term for aal5snap.
