Re: Should I upgrade my modem? A new modem could help you if you're still on an old Fujitsu frame relay circuit as I was. Sounds like you're not, since your old modem is a Westell. I have been a customer since about 2002 as well. I had been stuck on 768/128 for years and was told they couldn't upgrade my speeds because of the modem & circuit.
From the Direct forum here, I finally convinced someone at Verizon to switch me to the ATM network. A day later I received a Westell 6110 and the day after that I was moved to the ATM network. Now I qualified for and received the speed upgrade to 3.0/768k. |
