I fixed it by going to control panel > java > temporary internet files > settings.<br>Delete all files and uncheck [ ] keep temporary files on my computer.<br>Control Panel > add and remove > removed all previous installs of java. (leaving only the latest)<br>Then internet options > Browsing history > settings > view objects:  There were three java entries with an exclamation and one without.  I deleted the ones with the exclamation points rebooted and the problem was gone.]]></description>

From Hudson, FL via a 10M FIOS line (IP 96.243.xxx.xxx), Firefox displays the Java logo and hangs. Some of the time, closing the browser does not kill the process - that has to be done via Task Manager or by rebooting. Flash also does not work.  It should be noted that I thought this problem was fixed as I was able to access the test while in a hotel in WY, but upon returning home to FL, I find the problem remains.  All of the other sites seem to work fine. Occasionally, I will get the red x in the corner for NJ, but that is only occasionally.]]></description>

Do you have another pc or laptop that can replicate the problem?  <br>1a.  Are you using a personal firewall?<br><br>2. Can you use someone else internet connection with Comcast to see if you and they have the same problem?<br><br>I know #1 assumes a problem with the pc and #2 assumes a problem with you your mode/router if it is a combo deal.<br><br>But at this point, it doesn't seem to be a Comcast problem and it would be good to eliminate your pc and perhaps the modem your using.<br><small>--<br><b>If you are having half as much fun as I am, then I must be having twice the fun than you are.
