| Your not in Charleston?
Try changing your routers mac address to obtain a different ip and see if you have the problem. Or use the default mac address of your router if you have already changed it and see if there is a change.
I have found, that changing my mac address to obtain a different ip puts me on a different subnet.
Just a thought. -- If you are having half as much fun as I am, then I must be having twice the fun than you are. Do The Math! |

| Be sure to power cycle your modem after you change the mac address on your router. |

Even tried direct connect from 'puter to modem (eliminated the router from the equation)

| You can't ping, but what do you get on a tracert? Where does it stop?
I can tracert from way up north ok.
Did you get a different IP when you direct connected? If your PC mac was cloned on the router you probably kept the same IP. -- Tweaked your connection? | Mail Parse | Speed Converter |

| reply to lilhurricane Based on the updated tracert you IMed me, it's the last hop that is the issue.
The snippet is mine and you're stopping at 66.165.181.202 so my first guess would be that the hosting provider of the server is blocking your subnet probably because of some action they determined was a threat to their infrastructure.
Try to change your IP first and see if that helps. If not, you want to try and figure out who to contact that hosts it and see if they will unblock your subnet.

Fisamo Premium join:2004-02-20 Apex, NC | How long did you leave your modem off when you switched PCs/MAC IDs? You might get a different IP if you leave your modem off for a few minutes. |

| That's a great suggestion, Fisamo , appreciated.
Overnight wouldn't even change it - I've tried before. The last time it changed was when a BIGhurricane swooped thru..and only cause I was knocked off for a week
I have a very stubborn IP
Thanks to all who helped me identify the issue in here It's a small one, thankfully - but did I mention how much I love the Broadstar speedtest?
Update:
I've shot off a couple of emails, which I've already received replies to (thank you Rafael & Scott! You guys rock)
...and I believe this is going to be resolved soon.
*fingers crossed -- ~Safe Hex~ Team Discovery ~ Project Hope ~ Like A Hurricane~ |

| BTW Broadstar always gives me the best results (being in Key West and Miami the end of our 150 mi extension cord... Never had problems with it or routed round aboutly to get there.
Those are my Prime tests of actually line vs net congestion, is Broadstar here and ATT/BS own test in Miami, again both right at the end of the extension cord.... the other tests are only gauges of what congestion to certain points at the moment might be. -- »haywardm.com (Hayward's Key West)
