No packets were dropped, just delayed. However, the TCP stack "thought" some were dropped since they were delayed almost 1 second and would retry only to get a TCP Dup back when this happened. My point again was you won't get anywhere with them (canned response) but you will annoy and waste the time of their support people - which makes it all worthwhile! Perhaps I was too harsh but I think less complaining that I or anyone wrote to the wrong company (I wrote to Bell/Sympatico) and more action by the individuals on here would actually accomplish something. At least I'm trying to do something. To most people Bell and Sympatico ARE the same entity. Why else would I go to the Bell Store to get a Sympatico Kit...

Michael Geist said he was already blogging about it (which everyone knows anyway) and that he would be writing an article for The Star soon. The more people bug him I would think the more he'd be inclined to do it sooner rather than later. Email him at mgeist@pobox.com

The CRTC gave a canned response to my email, they'll get back to me in 10 days, bla, bla. I selected that they have to send me a response as a physical letter by snailmail. That way it makes a bit more work for them and costs them more. Maybe they'll pay attention but probably it just ends up costing us taxpayers more to get a p*ss off response :o

Cheers
Tom
