Re: Need to replace dead Actiontec router... options? Unfortunatly they still provide the Actiontec for business connections. Its a good product minus the power supply and connection table issues. I host a couple of servers and a web server with 800-1000 client connections a day which I don't think is that much, but was enough to force me to reboot the router every 3-4 days or it got flakey. I bought a cisco used for about 270 on ebay and no more problems. I use adtrans and zyels at small business's all the time without problems. Although I understand the sonicwalls may have issues at 20/20. If you are adding business service at a residence and have TV they will have to add a secont ONT. |

| As far as the firmware issues, for those of you using Ethernet (not MoCA), have you considered third-party firmware (such as DD-WRT, which is available for the ActionTec)? I recently returned to DD-WRT as they actually added the one issue that had me using WhiteRussian RC6 (IPv6 support) to the latest version (V24RC6.2) with my WRT54GS2.1 |

I'm not sure where you got your information. I've been following the forum on the following link which has the latest information on the Actiontec port of the DD-WRT firmware. From this link, it does not appear to be available yet.

The following link which lists supported devices, shows the Actiontec as "Work-In-Progress" with a special board needed, which I believe is the wireless card. No word on whether MOCA will be supported.
