Odd Packets

I saw something I haven't seen before today. For several hours, my firewall was blocking incoming packets, all to the same high tcp port. They came several at a time, from many different IP addresses, many different source ports. Nowhere near enough packets to be trying to affect my connection. I didn't see anything unusual outbound from my network. I shut down my ISP connection and started it back up to get a new IP, and haven't seen any more. Anyone know what it was?

Gurnee, IL		 Sounds like bittorrent traffic. Were you using bittorrent earlier by any chance?

Torrance, CA		 I've never used bittorrent. Makes sense though, probably whoever had that IP before me was.
