Alright Guys if this is in the wrong forum Please move
The question i have is i am in the middle of trying to setup a wireless network for a client at his home. He Basicly lives in a mansion and i am having trouble with dead spots all over the house.
Now i have used plenty of point to point products for connecting networks with line of sight But nothing with dealing with increasing range indoors. I have been Doing some searching and came across some wireless access points with wds built into them.
Is this the best way to go? or is there something better for indoor wireless.
Note this setup must be completely wireless no running wire's to different access points.
Also money is not really an object so If there are any business class solutions you guys are using that would work well for this kind of environment please suggest them.

| Not sure how big the place is ... but doing a site survey for wireless ... testing out some enterprise level cisco AP's should do the job ... depends also on how thick the walls are and how much metal/other material that would cause interference. If you already have things setup just do a site survey to where he gets dead spots and rearrange equipment ... also depending on the type of latency you need / speed would affect how many Aps you need. |

If im not mistaken you can have 2 Linksys router WRT54GL'se with DD-WRT firmware and it allows you to connect to the first router basically extending the wireless network with no cables.
You could put 2 or 3 of these all over the house and you should be good.
or even run cable (cat6) on the outside of the house and just have it come in the home exactly where the router will be.
