| [General] land Line?
I am a verizon wireless customer as well as my wife. We do not have a land line for our home. Just 2 cell phones - Well, we are concerned about having no phone for the household when both of us are not there. IE, when the babysitter is there. But I really dont want to pay 40 bucks a month for a land line. What other options are out there? Dont want to VOIP either - should i just get an extra pre paid cell phone and put it in a drawer somewhere? Any suggestions? |

| MetroPCS or prepaid is all I can think of besides Cricket. MetroPCS seems to operate in Atlanta. They are quite cheap I have heard

| reply to blakeas Check with your local Telco about measured service without any bells or whistles or long distance. Quite often the price is less than $10 a month plus taxes. Outgoing calls are limited to a specific number of calls or charged by the minute.
Measured service is a great backup if your cell service fails for any reason.
BTW, most telco CSR's will deny such a service is available as the telco's do not make any money on measured service's. |
