Boned Install pt2

I had moved from Mountain Cable to Cogeco.

I had gotten all 3 packages for myself. I had them before, so it shouldn't be a big deal.

I ordered the package at least a week or two before we moved over the phone.

They were supposed to port my number over to the new address.

When they did the install, they told me that the office messed up, and didn't do the paper work. I called back, and complained, explained that my pregnant wife needs to have the phone, and that they really blew the install.

The guy told me that the guy would be almost 2 weeks to get out, he told me that it was Tuesday of this week. He also told me that there would be a credit on the account for the month.

I had made arraignments to go and get the cable box, and modem back to mountain cable on Tuesday. that cost me 150$ to try to keep my phone number the same.

The tech didn't arrive on Tueday so i called to ask what was going on. The CSR told me that the appointment was yesterday, and that the guy wouldnt be able to be there untill the first or second. At this point I am missing my college class.

I get the manager on the phoen, He tells me that it is impossible to help me out at all. The fact that i missed yesterdays appointment meant that the porting would take another five days. I told him if the tech was standing there, he was suppposd to call, at last three times, to let me know that he was there. This has happened to me.

I explained to the guy that I don't understand why it takes so long, when everything is here and ready to go, and all that they need to do is to come-out and activate it. Why couldn't he just find someone in the area, and go with that.

I told him that it seems odd that you wont help at all, even though when I was a customer before, i had bad speed issues, and got an almost 6 month credit.

It's amazing that there is no sense of trying to keep me happy as a customer when you people are at fault. I told him that the 45 dollars a month for the phone, probably wasnt worth it.

So know I have a bell phone, and I will also be looking at tekksavy.

I know that they are going through the issues, with Bell right now, but I used to think that cogeo is the Bomb. Not so much anymore. Is there someone that i can talk too, and see if there is some remedy??

As an estension, I had received a call from you.
I understand that you tried to help.

However, I still am pissed.

After being told that the phone will be trannsfeerwed by the 7th of april. A month after the oringial instal. I was told that I would be able to port the number.

I was told to let the guys go ahead and make an appointment for the tech support guys. I didn't need them, becuase they had assigned a temporary number, and it seemed to work. They even called me on it, to say that there was a problem with the port. I called MCable, and delt with it. I called back 5 minutes later to let them now, to try again.

she told me again that it would be another five days, and she would rebook the service call, not even thinking that I was calling in from my apartment.

While I was at school, and in and out with my 34week pregnant wife. I had been back and forth to my school. After she had given birth, 2 techs came a knocking on my door on wedneday, to tell me that they were here to connect my phone, the original manager called me after the techs had left. He was surprised as I was that they were there.

I had lost internet, and he told me that that might be normal. When I came back that night, there was still none. two days, and two seperate calls to the office, and 5 calls back, they came yesterday.

The tech was again decent, did his job, and then waited for the modem to establish. The internet didnt come back on. He messed about looking at cables and what not.

He then called back, and the office didnt re-attach the internet to the modem. So they had to re-provision from there.

Sounds like someone didnt hit the enter key enough. Which sounds like what happened on the phone install.

Again can someone tell me what I am paying for?

Especially when I get a 1/2 month of sevice for free.

So I think i might move to teksavvy in a month or two, once things settle around here.
