Land line problem

After 15 years of trouble free service from Cincinnati Bell as of today we can call out on the phones but when someone tries to call us they get two rings then get the busy signal. We called from inside the house with a cell phone and the same exact thing happens, two rings and a busy signal. I checked each of the phones and you can call out just fine. Zoomtown also works perfectly. Anyone else have this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated. We do have a service call in but it will be a week before they can get out here. They said they did show a problem with the line and that if it was outside there would be no charge but if it was inside we would be charged. Many thanks for any help.

I had something like that last week on our business line. It would ring 4 times and say the number was disconnected then other times it would ring in fine and calls out and zoomtown were fine. if you have the voicemail box on your line set the rings to a higher number, also check to see if you have wirecare on your bill.If you do the the wireing in the home also is covered and you wont be charged a service call and labor
