If you go to www.nationalcherryblossomfestival.com there is a schedule of events and some ideas of what to do re parking, bike riding, etc. I have not gone this year but heard about the website on the local news.

I went yesterday, it was a nice experience. I parked and took the Metro into the Smithsonian stop.

We checked out the Cherry Blossom trees and went to most of the museums while there.

Lots of walking

Here are some of the pics I took..

Bicycle is a good way to go. Traffic is horrendous. I swung by the tidal basin on my way to work on Friday (by bicycle) and enjoyed the view.

Personally I liked parking at the Metro station in New Carrolton. It was around $16.00 for two all day passes and free parking.

Beats driving into the city I took the metro back to union station for lunch too.

Yep, Orange line rocks. New carrolton is the way to go if your heading in via Rt 50. Take the metro into chinatown, some awesome buffets around there.
