Doesn't Jason Laszlo's picture looks a bit like the lemming in my picture? Green hair with blue shirt? |

reply to Jamesy For those people who just say he is just doing his job, look at his apparent enthusiasm for throttling and putdowns and it is clear that he is completely unprofessional and deserves some flak. P.S. Look at what he is wearing in his profile picture. Its a Dallas Mavericks jersey. That is no coincidence. Mark Cuban (the owner of the Mavericks)has been an advocate for throttling and vocal critic of torrents and other P2P applications because it puts a strain on internet infrastructure and hurts the potential for his future "video on demand services" where he wants to make big money.

reply to Jamesy Nope, just re-assigned to a different story. Laszlo was quoted in an article just today as Bell's spokesperson. It's the on on the G&M and CTV today about Bell's network carrying the most malicious code out of any Canadian ISPs. They just took him off this throttling issue due to the 'lemmings' backlash I think.

reply to Jamesy All I see is complaining. The most we can do is boycott, but then again... Why can't some bright software/hardware engineers gather and figure a way out of this... like hackers with firmwares for the PSP, they are always one step ahead. I'm sure there is a way to fix this, and i'm not talking about some fix like the one imageshack offers with their torrent download service

PSP is way easier to hack, since the firmwares and hardware are available. It's very difficult to hack the software of DPI if you do not have a copy on hand. Breaking into Bell's server is illegal, and I'm sure those software companies making DPI software wouldn't license to anyone to break it.
