Business Model

OK, so if RIAA's plan is approved, Apple's iTunes Store (and other online music stores) will sue them since there's no purpose of buying music online anymore...

(Will 56k modem users be affected with this tax?)

By collecting taxes from ISPs, this would put them in position of controlling a huge part of the Internet, and that, my friends, is called madness and corruption.

Why can't they build their own business online and collect money from their own subscribers, you know, their business model, like any other company?

Because they got their lips on somebody's rear in congress that is letting them do what the hell they want.

Stores will probably start charging a $5 fee just to walk through the door to cover stealing whether you steal or not.

They have a problem accepting the fact that people aren't buying their music so they think they can just force everybody to pay.

When I was younger, we always worried about communism. Now we got the greedy RIAA who's worse.
