| NEED ActionTech Bridge Help GUIDE for Ethernet not MOCA
-Okay so most of you i know have MOCA access and setup guides for that. -But i'm in a situation where I have Ethernet access only. -I am able to connect the ethernet directly to my wrt54g router and get internet without doing anything. -In the old firmware I was able to set it up so i just connect an ethernet from my wrt54g to my actiontech like I am asking for now, but the new firmware I tried loading the config file and it doesn't work.
-Reason I don't want old firmware is because Verizon keeps sending updates to it and now I can't even receive channel info updates when I block port.
-Any help would be much appreciated

This is for the noob, listening in for the first time.
Added: I successfully bridged the Actiontec to ethernet here.
However, it kills the data to the STB because you have to get the traffic off the new router back into the Actiontec to feed it to the STBs. You're already using the WAN port on the Actiontec.
So, he's right, use your own cat5-connected router instead of the Actiontec. If you do have TV, hang the Actiontec WAN off a LAN port of your router. |
