I seen this issue last week. The OP failed to mention if he was connected via vpn or 2 the network in the office when the issue. Poked it's head. I have found that moving the nsf and address book files via usb thumb drive. Have caused corruption and caused the encrypted copies to never work correctly , OP did you use usb or did you do a network transfer ? Also make sure they are in the same location on each machine.
