Dane, please say it aint so!
Sonic CS said the address (arnica wy) was 9000 ft from CO.( forgot to ask which one) and it looked good for all but the top tier dsl service... It was explained to me that W/o a working phone number it was a rough estimate, So I'm trying to talk to neighbors and see if I might use their number for a line quality check... I know that comcast is there, but almost rather go back to bonding multiple Sonic dial-up lines!
Would paying for an ATT van roll to the house gain me any more knowledge in regards to speed/ availability? Or am I destined to go back to smoke signals and tin cans?
How much is a site survey for Sonic's (broadlink) wireless offerings?
Thanks, Xan. | | DaneJasper Sonic.Net Premium,VIP join:2001-08-20 Santa Rosa, CA clubs:
| I'd suggest talking by phone with Lani here - she's a senior DSL order processing person, and can give you the straight scoop. Call now at 707-522-1000 and ask for her.
If it's 9000ft from a DSL equipped CO, you might be in good shape. However, without a phone number in service there, the data is not assured. AND, until DSL is actually up and running, nothing is really assured, FYI!
Broadlink will drive by and check for service if you order it and contract for it - I don't think they'll do a site survey without an order.
