| Uninstalling AT&T Software
I setup an AT&T DSL connection for a client using MY laptop instead of letting AT&T pollute HIS computer. So, it polluted mine.
Unfortunately, AT&T's unstallers DON'T!
I did manage to constrain the software download to the AT&T Self Support application -- the setup wouldn't allow this to be de-selected -- but when I finally uninstalled it, it left all kinds of trash behind and the program matcli.exe gets run at system boot time and shows up in the System Tray on XP-SP2.
There are classes galore and three main folders in the Program Files folder.
Does anyone know a "safe" way to uninstall this junk? AT&T was no help whatever.

| Well, the thing that worked for me was to do a Windows XP System Restore to a previous checkpoint.
That got rid of the registry entries and I was then able to delete the folders without complications. FWIW.
This cruddy software really has a nice uninstaller. |
