If Comcast does this on more than a customer basis, then yes, people could be affected.  As with packet sniffing / forged packets, you don't know what gets blocked. This software is less than perfect so legitimate traffic could be interfered with.  I doubt it's claiming lives but it opens them up to a lot of legal problem as Comcast is realizing now.  Not to mention, say a hospital or medical institution were to use such a system in order to share records privately. Would you want their packets forged and interrupted?]]></description>
