Re: Newsgroup Server problem - 502 error,too many connections i'm really disappointed.. it's not fair to me that i have over 10 accounts and i administer and have referred over the years.. i think it would be fair not to limit it to 2 total connections as i think that's really stupid. what am i supposed to do now? i have to go to a premium provider cause you guys are limiting me to two connections TOTAL? i should be able to use 20 connections. |

kudos:15 | We are aware of this and are working with the news server provider to have the limitation by IP removed. I don't have a time frame yet but we have every intention of that limitation being removed in the near future. |

| Having problems here as well. The problem is intermittent. The Tech Support people are not helping. I was first told (phone support person named Dominique) that the problem was probably at my end but since "nobody really accesses the Newsgroups anymore" he was unable to really help me.
Second person, via Live Chat, (forgot his name) told me to try a different Newsreader. I told him I'd already tried both Xnews and Thunderbird. He suggested I try NewsBin. He also suggested I set my maximum concurrent connections to "1". (huh?) He then tried to close out the session by telling me that nobody else had submitted a complaint and that I must be the only one having a problem. i.e. he was unable to help me either.
Gotta love it.
BTW, I've been a DSLExtreme customer since 2001. No problems with Newsgroups until this week. |
