| Looking for a bluetooth keypad
Why can't I find a bluetooth numeric keypad in the US?
Yesterday I went to Circuit City, Best Buy, and Office Depot looking for one for my laptop. One guy at Circuit City said he knew they existed but they did not stock them.
Targus makes one, the AKP03CA, apparently for Canada, and there's a Chinese WKP-3000, but I couldn't find any for sale in the US.
Anybody know why not? Or am I missing something somewhere? It just seems to me this would be nice to have instead of needing a USB dongle for the regular wireless ones. -- USNG: 16TDN2870 Find your Lat-Long: Geocoder |

| I have not seen any locally, though I know they exist. I think that a couple of things come to play here: First, separate keypads are not a large selling item to begin with, then, not all notebooks/desktops are Bluetooth enabled, and top it off by the higher prices that Bluetooth devices carry over the wireless USB, and there is probably not enough demand to stock in local stores.
To me, most computer Bluetooth devices are really not ready for prime-time anyway. Bluetooth mice have unacceptable lag-time, and many folks have been less than enthralled with the Bluetooth key-boards. -- ...something is happening here but you don't know what it is...do you, Mr. Jones? |

My laptop has bluetooth built in, and I don't know of any that don't anymore (if they don't, wow cheap). |
