| EDITED as isp clients unable to connect to a particular game
The past couple days, there have been some of us unable to connect to servers in order to play our Asheron's Call game. In fact some were actually ingame, got disconnected and poof nothing is working. Course you go thru all the what did my computer do,,,,few of us working with Turbine who of course is only going thru our individual computer checks. We started posting on some boards only to make a strange discovery --- those of us at the same point with the same problem all come from the same area in England (not confirmed yet but quite a few with the same isp service) EDITED because no we are not all with the same isp,,,3 more from same around, south England but identified 2 different isp companies now)
Reminds me of years ago a similar problem occured back home in western Canada. What occurred was my isp should have been updating a particular file and wasnt. The game company gave me an ftp site where I downloaded one or two little files,,,added them I think in my windows folder somewhere and connecting to the game was no problem. 24 hours later the cable company fixed whatever was going on and people in western Canada with that particular company were once again able to log in game.
Seems this is happening again,,,but how do I find out which files might need a manual update? how can I go about figuring this out? |
