Re: So you can't comment on the throttling case, Rocky...

Funny... Lets not get ahead of ourselves. This is a joint effort at this point from many ISPs through CAIP, so TSI needs to step back for a minute and let the CRTC and CAIP do their thing.

TSI plans to have a meeting with the Gamers to discuss the next event and game, so we'll have a chance at that point to, on the 23rd, do the meet and greet thing!

Well, such a meeting (I'd imagine) would be virtual, no?

IRL meetings are difficult due to TSI's Ontario/Quebec territory being about 2500 kilometres wide.

Of course, I doubt there are many customers east of Quebec City, but that's still 1000km.

Suggestion: online poker tournament. Everyone puts in 20$, winner takes 80%, 2nd takes 20% -$20, and third gets his/her 20$ back.

Should TSI&others consider building their own shared network, form a COOP or JV and need engineers to start building it, I would be available. I do not know that much about MANs or even high-end networking gear but I would be willing to learn and have already started investigating costs and fiber handling out of curiosity. (Can always be useful in job interviews.)

I work at a rather ambitious non-ISP company and I might be able to shape its future to raise interest towards investing in such a COOP WAN after we reach the point where we will need high speed wide-area network coverage. However, this point may be over two years into the future.
