Westel 6100 Linksys W54G and Version DSL

larrylwill : I have the above set up the modem is from Version. I bought another 6100 off Ebay so I could return the rented 6100 to Version.
The problem is I can not get the Ebay 6100 to connect to the service. The modem seems to be working ok. I get a red light on the internet led and the message cannot connect, or hook up a dsl line. I assume there is something in it for version to recognize but I don't know what setting. Its address is 192.168.1.1 and the Linksys address is 192.168.0.1
I compared it to the working one and all settings look the same. However I may have overlooked something.
What have I not set up correct?
thanks
