I've been running vista since I got my Dell Inspiron 531 desktop (Amd X2 5000+ (dual 2.6ghz cores) with 4GB ram and an nVidia 6800GT video card) Vista ran fast before, but DAMM Xp runs so much faster. XP runs faster than I can click. It really helped me unleash the power of this PC. Vista ran okay, I just wanted to see how much performance I could get out of XP and the difference astounded me. |

XP for me.
I have zero issues with getting my sound card or network and internet access. None. I did nothing but install the DVD.
In fact my sound card now works better under linux than winslop.no more popping, crackling when playing back MP3's.
I am not looking back.
I'd be interested to know what sound card and LAN card doesn't work under a current active linux distro.
I happen to have a DEC Tulip based LAN card which can be a bit of a pain for some distro's for some reason.
