Maybe Comcast should take a tiny bit of the money from that skyscraper they're building down the street and build some redundancy into their network .

Here is DE we are still having the same problem. The funny thing is that I am able to get to comcast.com just fine but comcast.net is unavailable. It seems to me that it is a filtering issue.

Having all kinds of problems in PA as well. Seems to have gone down around 6am. Doesn't appear to be DNS related like normal Comcast outages. I've tried Verizon, AT&T, OpenDNS, and Speakeasy DNS servers with the same random working results.

I finally managed to get on my corporate VPN and using our internet backbone I'm having no issues at all. Best part is their "Network Health" page is down. Guess they don't actually want to tell us they are out of service.

On comcast I can't access a ton of sites:
comcast.net (nice, can't even see if they admit to a problem)
cnn.com
aol.com
engadget.com
dslreports.com

Working:
espn.com
google.com
yahoo.com

What's ironic is that about an hour ago, I was able to get to comcast.net just fine but was unable to login or get to mail from there. I did get to read my comcast email though via my PPC phone (Sprint Touch) about 15 minutes ago.

Seems I may be stuck surfing the web for awhile using either my slow DSL (768K) or my faster Sprint EVDO (1.5MB). Looks like the Slowskis finally got what they always wanted! LOL

It's looking to be getting better if not completely resolved here in South Jersey, at least for me. How's it looking to everyone else? Maybe it's just an anomaly and it'll go back to crap.

I'm in NW Chester County near Pottstown and it's been out since early this morning. I changed DNS servers and it really didn't make much of a difference.

Right now I'm using a system in Cape May County using comcast and it's slow but at least I could get to this site.

Nice job Comcast. Like many others I've been rebooting routers and reconfiguring. Glad I didn't take the extra step of swapping out my router.

Hmmm..... I wonder if they'll credit my account?

I'm in Cherry Hill - still having problems accessing a lot of sites.

Reps to the person who mentioned kproxy... At least with that I can access some sites otherwise unavailable.

Yay I can get to dslreports again. My connection has been screwed up all morning. The only site I could get to consistently was google.

All seems well at the moment.

I can get to dslreports.com again. It wasn't working, then it worked, then it didn't work and now it works again.

I'm also noticing more sites are working, but some are slow to load. Overall it's a lot better now.

Things have cleared up here in DE for the moment. Looks like they might have fixed their proxy / filter / whatever they are using to "speed things up"

I couldn't get to any of my weather sites nor could I get to news sites, although it tried to go to MSNBC.com, but was hung up. Ironically it got right to Drudge without any delay.

Just now, within the past couple minutes, I have more sites loading that wouldn't load before (including the news sites) - this on my linux box. I think something might be happening (paths are being rerouted?)... Still having problems with sites on the browser status bar though. My other machine (Vista) is still hanging up on the news sites though...

And I am still posting this via Verizon DSL that takes a licking and keeps on ticking.
