Hopefully, someday, Symantec, MS, etc. will have an easy way for consumers to fix these bugs!

I don't know if the Kaspersky ad placement is a permanent placement or whether it's more in line with a contextual ad, but it's nothing short of brilliant for Kaspersky.

Like Kaspersky hasn't had its own share of security problems.

Serves me right for going OT.
Rhetorically thinking out loud, I was wondering about that. Not if Kaspersky has ever had a problem, but if the position of the ad is a permanent fixture if Kaspersky has it removed while the page is serving up a negative headline that's about Kaspersky.

Everything had issues. Apple, MS, Symantec, McAfee, etc. All I care is that they fix the issues.

Well, it is/was pretty much guaranteed that the problem(s) would be patched. The underlying issue is what lapse caused the problems to be introduced in the first place, and what safeguards have been added to prevent this from happening again in the future.
