Re: Avira wants to be shure you know about their products Solution: (if using windows xp that is)Vista fix is similar but if you know how to manage ntfs file permissions you should be able to figure it out.
Turn off Simple File Sharing
Navigate to avira install directory
Right click on avnotify.exe
Go to properties
Go to security tab
Deny System Read, Read + Execture Permissions.
You will have to redo this occasionally, been about 4 months since i had to (When avnotify itself is updated)
And you wont get this annoying popup any more  |
