Re: Comodo Firewall Free No More?? Hmmh, a forum with the tagline "Creating Trust Online" censoring a user's comments to the point where they are obliterated.
Yeah, that sure gives one that warm and fuzzy trust feeling. |

Yeah, that sure gives one that warm and fuzzy trust feeling. What a stupid move on Melih's part; combined with the issue about certs, if correct, this whole thing, including the editing of threads and the possible "selling out" to a suspect vendor, has served to turn me off Comodo.
I have always had absolute trust in Kevin from the BOClean days, so when they were sold to Comodo, I thought Comodo deserved a try, as I felt that was a recommendation. I'm disappointed to hear that there are reasons to doubt Coodo's "cleanliness".
I guess this discussion has veered from the OP in focus, but I'm glad for what I've learned here. -- The truth of a thing is the feel of it, not the think of it. -- Stanley Kubrick |

I stand by it with the exception of the BoClean users from before BoClean got bought by Comodo. Users of the original BoClean certainly are not naive and inexperienced computer users but they don't make up the bulk of the Comodo users. -- "The same ferocity that our founders devoted to protect the freedom and independence of the press is now appropriate for our defense of the freedom of the internet. 2 edits | As a former BOClean user I have to agree with Mele20 about the Comodo forums. I used BOC for about 2 years prior to it being bought by Comodo and when I visited that forum it seemed so childish and immature but this really should come as no suprise, just take a look at the Matousec threads. |
