About 1/2 of my 6Mbps speed.

Upload Speed: 356 kbps (44.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
I'll still say, when we were at 4Mbps, I had rock solid speeds of 4.5Mbps all the time. Since our 6Mbps upgrade, speeds drop terrible during peak times. |

Knology technicians will be performing a maintenance that will affect data customers in West Panama City between the hours of midnight to 6am. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
I look forward to not having service late tonight if that's what it takes to fix this bandwidth issue. Talked with a tech in the field today working on a node box he said they where back at the head end working on it. He had no idea it was so bad. |

Not looking good in East PC. Can't hit the old 4500 (which I ALWAYS could - time of day no issue) let alone the new 6Mbps speeds.

The guy you spoke to was the Powersupply tech who dose not work on their plant and is not involved with the day to day and lives in town where speeds are not a problem.
I was told the issue was fixed but they had a small problem this morning after the upgrade and that was resolved by lunch. On my way home to check my speeds asked to report any problems I may have. A friend of mine lives near the knology office said his speed have been perfect all day at a solid 6 MB (he dose not have the edge) and is very happy.
Please let me know if you still have any problems to report I will pass them on...

 Maybe Dusty they are just trying to keep brother down and as for the surfboard modem they are junk knology had to pull allmost all of them out of the field with there Aris upgrade from Motorola, what you want is a DPC2100 r2 they are more forgiving than any other modem they have they will work with low signal around -15 dbm if that every becomes a problem. Happy Havoc, not having any problems to report ran test myself and staying strong at about 6 mb for me so call me Happy too!!!! |

olo131, the dcp2100-r2 is what I have, Knology installed it back when all this started. I let them install it just to prove to them the modem was not the problem. The 5120 never gave me a minutes trouble with the edge.  |

You are one of the few that have a surfboard work for them, and there are others, in my experience they did not work well for knology after there upgrade from Motorola to Aris CMTS.
Also there is an issue with some 2100 r2 and i think the SN has a 69 as last four so look for that and I will confirm that when I get back to work Monday.
I do know there are a lot of hacks for the Moto Modem but be careful they don't like it when you mess with things even if it is yours they will shut you down if they think your cheating the system it is like a casino just play and you can win just not alot....
