| Error message with WG111T
My daughter uses WG111T to connect her to the Internet (WildBlue). Her brother has the router. She and I are connected to WildBlue through him. Neither my son or I are having any problems.
Two days ago, she had a problem with hardware not working. So she uninstalled and reinstalled her WG111T network adaptor. Three times the installation froze at the second step and she had to shut down. Finally after several hours with the computer turned off, she turned it on and it Finally recognized the new hardware at boot up. After a day and a half of having connection....now it gives this error message:
quote: It is not possible to disable the connection at this time. This connection may be using one or more protocols that do not support Plug-and-Play or it may have been initiated by another user or system account
Her computer is a "put together" WinXP SP 2 Home P4 2ghz 1 gig RAM ATI Radeon card
Would going to Device Manager>Hardware Tab> Network Adaptors and disable help anything? Would Windows automatically reinstall the drivers? She cannot go online.... at all.... to download new drivers.
She did try the going into SafeMode to rename the Catroot2 folder....thinking this was a corrupted crypto service database problem. But it did not work. |
