Washington, D.C. (April 8, 2008) -- Time Warner says it will add six new High-Definition channels in Manhattan on April 30.
The new channels will be:
Food Network HD on ch. 750, HGTV HD on ch. 764, Hallmark Movie Channel HD on ch. 784, Animal Planet HD on ch. 786, Travel Channel HD on ch. 788, and Versus/Golf HD on 794.
Time Warner says its local systems in New York and New Jersey will carry 100 High-Definition channels by year's end.
By the end of April, the cable operator says Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island will offer 50 high-def channels, many of which will be free with digital cable packages.
