The greater Indianopolis area is rural? |

Lizton which has the Smithville switch is on US136 and is still surrounded by farmland, though sprawl is creeping up I-74.
Going west past Danville on US36 is completely rural.
There are parts of Marion County (Indianapolis) that are marginally populated. While I wouldn't call Indianapolis an "urban center" similar to NY or Chicago, there are parts of it that are somewhat denser than others. South Indy is somewhat rural, north towards Broad Ripple and Carmel are more dense.
Any company that can invest $90M in infrastructure in Indiana is a significant event. Also don't forget Indiana passed that telco "reform" law 2 years ago. It didn't just help Verizon and AT&T. |
