| premade window AC brackets?
Our house has hot water baseboard heat and no duct work so therefore no central air conditioning. Early last summer we bought 4 window units. A 15,000, a 6000, and 2 - 5000 btu units and they cool the house pretty well.
When I installed them I used the brackets that came with them and drilled holes in the window frames etc knowing that the windows would soon be replaced. In October we had all new vinyl windows installed with lifetime warranties. The window company said we were not to drill holes in the new windows to install the AC units or it would void the warranty.
Short of buying angle brackets and bending, cutting, drilling and making my own new brackets is there anything pre-made that I can use to hang my AC units out the window this summer that does not involve ruining my new windows?

| Unless it is a huge unit like what I have by the computer here, it will stay with the window holding them in place, just make sure that you secure the window with a board. If you want, get the brackets at any Hardware store, but most of the time, you see a piece of wood holding the unit, which will not work for long after rot starts. | |

| This is so far the most common I've seen in searching online. But you will have to anchor it some where. | |

| Re: premade window AC brackets? That just might work for me Warzau. The new vinyl windows have "channels that the window sash(?) is mounted in so I'm thinking I might be able to take a piece of 2x4 lumber the width to the inside of the vinyl frame and notch it with my table saw so that I have a nice flat surface to set the AC onto. If I do that I may be able to anchor this bracket thing you found onto the top of the 2x4 and then also onto the house below the window.
Where did you find this thing? Do you have a link?
