Max Signal : Cricket if available in your area is a great alternative . You can get plans cheap that have no roaming but unlimited calling. Try www.mycricket.com to see if it available in your area
--
www.MaximumSignal.Net

[General] land Line?

blakeas : I am a verizon wireless customer as well as my wife. We do not have a land line for our home. Just 2 cell phones - Well, we are concerned about having no phone for the household when both of us are not there. IE, when the babysitter is there. But I really dont want to pay 40 bucks a month for a land line. What other options are out there? Dont want to VOIP either - should i just get an extra pre paid cell phone and put it in a drawer somewhere? Any suggestions?
