Price difference between this great condition fun used car, and say a Preius or local electric (useless for evacuation)... even at $4/gal like 4000 gal plus... or well over 100K miles I am likely not gong to rack up in the Keys... in under 20 years, and taken care of SAAB are know to ROUTINELY go 250K miles or more, MILLION is on record. Same subtle color as my S4.  ;)  It was used, but no sticker so I don't know how much they were asking or how many miles it had.  I see what the reviews meant about the panoramic moonroof, though.  It runs the whole way across the width of the roof.  Beautiful.  The S8 next to it was nice, too, but I'd have to live in it.<br><br>None of the sales guys were in this morning.  I'll ask about the S5 when I go back this afternoon.  ]]></description>

From Edmunds, for example:<br><br>"The Audi S5's interior rejects conventional German austerity for a warm, expressive look, and everything feels wonderful. A panoramic sunroof (it tilts up, but the shape of the roof prevents it from sliding open) also brings more light into the interior."<br><br>The slope of the rear window and size of the roof means there's nowhere for it to slide.  A cab version is due, but that brings its own set of issues.<br><br>Some folks won't care but I open mine a lot.  ]]></description>

My wife traded in her 1999 Altima that had around 154k on it, all we had to fix was the alternator.  I just traded in a 2002 Altima that had 115k miles on it, only had to do the brakes. I bought an 2008 Altima 3.5 liter, love it.  <br><br>Jeffrey, try looking at the Altimas.  They have more power than the Maxima's did, and were $3000 less. <br> </div>Agreed. My '03 Altima has 95k miles on it and runs like a champ. Looks mint too. I've only performed the scheduled maintenance so far, cross my fingers.<br><br>I'm pretty impressed with the 2.5l engine's pep too. Everyone who has an Accord or Mazda 6 says it's such a better engine than theirs.<br><br>For the past several years the only reason the Accord has beaten the Altima is because the Accord has a better ride. That is what is great about Honda, they definitely have that "Honda feel" down. I'm a fan of both and would own either in a heartbeat as a daily driver. I like the Altimas a bit more though.<br> </div>I have been driving a Nissan since my 2000 Xterra and have never had any service issues.  <br><br>The 2.5l is a very peppy little engine, I am surprised what they can make that thing do.  The '08 Altima's are quite impressive are more like the Maxima's than an Altima.  The 3.5l engine really takes off well.]]></description>

Everyone who has an Accord or Mazda 6 says it's such a better engine than theirs.<br><br>For the past several years the only reason the Accord has beaten the Altima is because the Accord has a better ride. It's got some issues (dull clearcoat, bad dash rattles, occasional rattle/squeak coming from the driver's side front door area, check engine light just came on tonight for the first time  :huh:).  It's been in for a recall item (fuel pump relay) and to fix a map light that was stuck the day I took delivery.]]></description>

A kid with this car would have raced the balls off it. And $25K is a bargain for what you get compared with the competition. From the spec sheet it looks the same as the Speed6, and Car & Driver also said they got around 17-18 mpg with aggressive driving.<br><br>I'm considering getting a used Speed3, because they don't offer any incentives on them new. It really is a fairly ugly car.<br><br>I'd question pulling 300HP with N/A upgrades. It's pulling about 260HP allready, and the 'stock' intake is allready quite good. Replacing the filter will make the most difference, but you won't be seeing a drastic enough increase that will allow you to see 300HP. 300HP can be done, but expect to pay a pretty penny.<br><br>Good luck.]]></description>

Maybe a hybrid SUV.<br><br>But I already have a dream car. There were only 5000 produced in 2007. Mazdaspeed 3 with CAI and CBE putting out around 300 HP, under 6 seconds 0-60, and quarter mile in the mid 13s. Thanks!<br><br>Actually I get about 22 mpg on the Infiniti and get about 33 on my '98 Accord (mostly freeway driving but some in town).  I understand that the new Accords do just about as well as mine despite the larger engine and additional weight. I'm hoping for either:<br><br>an AWD or FWD small pickup truck (think 91 Nissan Hardbody size) that gets at least 28 mpg average, or<br><br>a diesel or hybrid Honda Element, but without the plastic side panels and carpet on the inside, and getting better gas mileage than the current one.<br><br>I'm hoping for something like this because I carry a bicycle to various places for 8-10 months of the year. A truck is perfect for this, but I don't need a V6-powered 4wd because I'm not going offroad. AWD or FWD would be fine for me in the snow I deal with.<br><br>Actually, the Subaru Baja was almost perfect, but the bed was too short to be usable for my desired use.<br><br>And considering that the Element is probably either going to be discontinued or replaced with the Crossroad, and there probably isn't much market for a FWD pickup, I'll probably get something like a Toyota Matrix or Honda Fit when my Buick bites the dust.]]></description>

It's a company car, which is great for me.   That will replace my '00 Altima.  I figure I should be able to get $2500-3000 or so for it in private sale (105k miles - anyone interested? :)<br><br>Next up - I have an '05 Altima 3.5SL that I'd like to replace with a GMC Acadia.  I have about $12k left in payments on the 3.5SL, and it appears to me that tradein value on that vehicle is a bit higher than that...  So what I may do is trade in the '05 towards an Altima.  What's really nice is that my company is a GM Supplier, so I don't have to worry about haggling over price - it is what it is, and I'm happy with that.  The only haggling will be over the tradein value of the Altima.]]></description>

I wanted a Civic instead, but at the time they were selling like hotcakes and couldn't be had without a wait; I needed a car ASAP.<br><br>What's next?  Honda MIGHT have their new hybrid compact available just in time, but we'll probably get a Civic anyway.  We're renting a Prius next month in Florida to get a feel for what a hybrid drives like.  Record high gasoline prices has us thinking about a "green" car long term now, and if the Civic GX is still offered we might go for that.<br><small>--<br>Don't pay ME back, pay it forward.</small>]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/1136664"><b>takeahike</b></A> : I want one of the new Accords so bad I can taste it, but we are in the middle of a lease-buyout of an '06 Infiniti G35 (no, I can't get the Accord instead cause my girlfriend has to have the Infiniti), which means a boatload of cash down and another 3 years of payments.  So I guess I'll be driving my '98 Accord (my third one, which just passed 150K without blinking) for a while.  Besides (to rationalize this), if I got the new one now I would just run it into the ground with my 70 mile (both ways) commute, so it'd be great if I could retire in a few years and get the new car then and keep it <i><b>real</i></b> nice.  Anyway, the new model is in its first year of production, so with Honda's recent five year cycle with Accords I've got some time.<br><br>So that's my dream.
