Should the old version of Adobe Flash Player be uninstalled before installing the new version?

I noticed the installers removed the old ones automatically. You can do it manually if you want or if you have problems.

Can anybody with Adobe® Flash Player v.9.0.124.0 and Vista SP1 play the videos on MSN? I see a black box instead of video. Unfortunately, I updated flash and installed the Windows Tuesday patches before trying this site, so I can't tell what is causing this. It's the only site that is giving me problems.
