Also, I read online that Micro Trend PC-cillin, the dell loaded anti-virus can cause BSODs. I removed it, and its been 2 days since a blue screen.  Perhaps that was it.  Also, is it normal for the core temps to get around 60 C under load before the processor fan kicks in and brings it back down? I'm guessing the overclock is putting too much of a strain on the PSU and making it go out of spec. Do you know what your 12V and 3.3V was before the OC?  Voltages like this will cause instability, and down the road shorten the life of your components. <br><br>There is also something wrong with your RAM, if you do indeed have 3GB, one stick is either loose or dead.  ]]></description>

It runs at the 3.0ghz and 1333 FSB.  I have run multiple benchmarks in sisoft sandra and it performs very well.  Temperatures very from mid 30s idle to about 60 under load which I believe is acceptable.  The computer does not fail under load.  However, it seems every few hours it gets a blue screen of death while idle.  STOP 0X000000080. I got it today, got way too excited to bother actually testing the system before I tried the over clock.  I did it, sure enough I have 3ghz and 1333 bus.  However, with the stock fan I am running into about 48C idle and I haven't fully put it under load but gotten up to 55 in benchmarks.  I think I need a new fan.  I already tried putting on a Arctic Cooler 7.  However, the MOBO has one of those adapters so you can screw heat sink on, and its permanently attached!  So, I have to find a different fan, this one only has those shitty push pins.]]></description>

It's the old style big aluminum block heatsink.  Dell just sent me another one with copper pipes and fins.  The surface area is much larger.  So I'm wondering if I should bother taking my workstation apart just to change the heatsink if the old heatsink is keeping the Q6600 cool enough already at around 35 degrees idle.]]></description>

The motherboard is a Foxconn G33 variant. <br><br>So far, I've only heard success stories and not a single failure (at least one that couldn't be reversed). My processor gets up to about 50 degrees and on cores 1 & 2 under full load (playing TF2, music, compressing videos) for an hour.
