I wish cable companies had a clue before they got into the business. DVI and HDMI share the same video specs. The only major difference is HDMI has extra wires for audio. Yes there are enhancements for 1080p and extra color (1.3a) but most of those are practically useless for those watching their budget.

You will also need to feed audio to the TV. I can't help you with that as there are a few different options and that will depend on what you want to do with stereo equipment, digital audio, and/or surround sound. A little homework should point you in the right direction for that. |
