| My experiences
I have had severely mixed results with this service provider. On the good days, it works very well. On the bad days, which are plentiful, there are numerous problems.
Just tonight i jumped on to browse the web. I had not had any applications doing any internet communication online for about 5 hours. However, i could not establish a PPP connection with their service. It eventually randomly came back up, but determining why it was down proved fruitless.
They offer support in English, either by selecting the option from the menu (if it presents itself as it did not this evening), or by asking the first rep you speak to after blindly punching options for "English, Lutfen" (loot-fen).
I currently utilize the 2048Kbps/512Kbps service. I don't know the cost because i believe i got a credit since i had been using 4096Kbps service and my building's infrastructure couldn't support it so it was downgraded. I am generally very happy with the speeds, as they are properly advertised. I check my speeds often by visiting:
»speedtest.ttnet.net.tr/
NOTE: Through an arduous process, i determined that this site does not work properly in Firefox.
I have never seen an ISP respond so quickly to a service call. I have called at 9PM to complain about a legitimate speed issue (of which the resolution was to downgrade the line speed), and they had a technician (who didn't speak english unfortunately) knocking at my door within 2 hours. Comcast would rather lie to you, say that there isn't a problem, schedule a service call for two weeks later, and in the meantime fix your problem so you look stupid when the tech arrives with a look on his face that you've just wasted his time.
All in all, for it to be the only option, once you know how to get support, at least you can expect that a fix action will get you back to where you need to be.
They censor all kinds of stuff by IP address. Hardcoded HOSTS files may not help you. |
