U-verse in San Gabriel Valley? (626 area code)

TuPaK : So this AT&T tech rung my doorbell just now and wanted to work on the pole so asked our permission since it's sitting on our property (each pole serves 4 houses).

Anyways..I thought nothing of it because it's normal for us to have this asked every year or so. As he walked to the back I came out the back and said to him jokingly, "Here to install U-verse?" And to my surprise he said yes.

I then told him I'm 12K from the DSL CO and my speeds max at 1.5Mbps downstream. He said they will run fiber from the CO to a box which is about 2 blocks from my house and that will greatly reduce the distance.

He said U-verse should be ready within 2-3 weeks in my area. (Rosemead and Longden in Temple City, CA).

He basically just scouted the pole and left within 10 minutes. I hope he isn't teasing me :p
